The first thing to stress about being an eLearning Technologist is that it’s not about the technology.
Technology is something we use in the online environment to enable teaching and learning.
We bring our knowledge, understanding and experience of technology enhanced learning and its associated pedagogies to bear when designing and building online courses in partnership with University Schools and academics.
I’ve worked in the education sector since 1990 and exclusively in technology enhanced learning since 2003. I began working at The University of Manchester in 2011 in the FSE eLearning Team and moved to the Central Distance Learning Team in October 2018.
I’m currently working towards a PhD through the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning at Lancaster University.
In these pages you will find example of eLearning and research I have done as an eLearning Technologist at The University of Manchester and as part of my PhD at Lancaster University.
